I don't know where to start!! July 27, 2026
Okay! My people- I love you all so much! I hope you had the bestest week. Mine was pretty fantastic!
Upon arriving in my mission, my mission President and his wife invited me to find my "Why"
To think about the "why" I chose to come here but the "why" I choose to stay too.
I have a billion why's I came here. The why I choose to stay, everyday, is because Jesus is inviting EVERYONE to "Come home!"
Come home to the peaceful feeling of reading scriptures again. Come home to the relief God wants to give you as you talk to Him. Come home to church and partake of the Sacrament and become renewed. This earth is not our home, Christ is inviting you to do the things that help you feel closer to your Heavenly Home with Him and Heavenly Father. That is our invitation as missionaries... with and without a tag.
I absolutely love this ward! It's easier to feel at home when all your members strive to love each other... so strive to be the member that makes others feel at home.
Our ward had 3 baptisms this week, my sweet friend Alesha got baptized on her birthday so we threw a PARTY for her!!!! Our other baptisms of our Elder's friends were really really special too. This week is one that I hope I never forget.
One of our friends who's been fighting cancer was hospitalized again. It was a really hard day, but a lot of promptings were followed and we were able to send her a video of us singing a primary song and turns out thats exactly what she needed from us. God is really, REALLY aware of us. He wants to help us so badly even if our trials feel so big... I promise He is bigger.
Our ward had a 7 hour long fiesta and it was awesome! We had 2 lessons while we were there and everyone was dancing and visiting... I've officially been told I can dance like a Latina and I think I've made it in life haha!
I just felt SO much joy this week. We found lots of people, we had a lot of really meaningful conversations and I think it is best summed up in my plaque scripture:
"Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel." -Alma 26:16
I love you all! You are so thought of and prayed for!
