Leaving my mark here... one step at a time... August 31, 2026

Buenos dìas Hermanos y Hermanas y Elderes!
Oh my goodness I miss you all so much. I'm so excited for the day I get to see you all again. I'm also so happy that that day is not today because the Lord is hastening His work. And we are all a part of it. Right now, my job is in Peru!

This week was amazing. I got to my new area and met my new companion, Hermana Sherrod, and we immediately got to work! She's amazing! One of the best things that helped me gain confidence in my mission so far is leading out an area during my 2nd transfer in training… and that's what she's doing now and she's doing a phenomenal job!
The area I'm in is new to our mission so it's been kinda crazy. There are soooo many converts and sooooo many people to teach. We had 14 converts at church. THATS CRAZY!

I still don't really know anyone in this area, I’ve just been meeting a lot of people. But the biggest miracle this week has definitely been my Spanish. I'm senior comp now… someone needs to lead out lessons and know what they are doing… and the Lord works with what he has got so I've been teaching! I can totally speak! Its still not close to perfect but it's definitely something. Even if nobody else in the lesson is feeling the Spirit, I AM! I know that what I am teaching is true. And my companion just has such a way with people here. When she teaches, people just listen. They can feel the love she has for them, and she can feel the love that God has for them.

We had a baptism on Saturday for our friend Isaac! He read the entire Book of Mormon in 3 weeks and during his testimony he quoted scriptures and conference talks word for word with empty hands. He is one huge miracle and he is going to change so many lives as he continues to learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We also have a baptism TOMORROW FOR OUR FRIEND LUIS!!! HE'S THE BEST!!! Satan is truly losing his battles.

Once upon a time we couldn't get our shower to turn off for 2 hours… and we tried everything…it's moments like that I wish I could just call my dad haha! We got a security guard for our building to turn it off and she had absolutely 0 problem doing so and we were dumbfounded. And our mission housing coordinators sent a bunch of technicians our number so lots of people still want to help us fix our shower that isn't broken. Absolutely hilarious.

In other funny news I have officially made my mark on this city forever… I totally accidentally walked through some wet cement. My footprint is out there somewhere. There will forever be proof that I was here haha!

It's hard being in a new area when I loved my last one so much… but there is already SO much love here. Also again, truly, how on earth am I training?!?!? (She's totally training me, she's a maquina) I feel very trusted in this brand new area with a newer missionary but very humbled too. I can see thousands of city lights outside my window here and only a couple of those lights truly know about their Savior. Heavenly Father has placed us here to try and help. We're being changed for the better with every contact.

In my personal study on Friday, I read Alma 13:20: “...Behold, the scriptures are before you; if ye will wrest them it shall be to your own destruction”
“Wrest” means to distort or change, to twist. We definitely shouldn't do that. But I want to invite you also to never REST your scriptures either. Don't let them collect dust for even a day. Make your streak go up on gospel library. If scripture study is really difficult for you I UNDERSTAND! It can be so hard! But I also want to invite you to find the context of the scriptures, don't just read the content. Content will help you but context will change you. Start there. Watch Heaven open.

You are all so loved and so missed! Shoot me an email! Go serve someone today! Heaven is rooting for you and so am I!
