“The Blue and the Yellow” September 7, 2026

Buenos días todos! Como estan?

I hope you all had an amazing week. I hope you all felt the Spirit yesterday as you took the sacrament… if you didn't take the sacrament yesterday, this is lovely and encouraging invitation to take it next week!

This week has been nuts! We've had a really hard time finding people in this area. All of our converts in the past year were online references that reached out to US wanting to hear this message… so find people ourselves has been challenging. But miracles happen. I know that this next week is going to be better.

It is such a gift to have the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. But one of the biggest gifts of missionary work is time to read your scriptures. Every day I get a whole hour to study and I wish it was 2 haha! But Heaven has opened. Heaven is open. One of the best things parts about a restored Gospel is that we can receive revelation from our Heavenly Father. THE GOD OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE WANTS TO TALK TO YOU! He wants to teach you, He wants to guide you, He wants you to feel His love. If you feel like Heaven isn't calling you then I invite you to read His texts. Open your scriptures. He has something important in there JUST FOR YOU!

I had the opportunity to share my testimony in church yesterday, I try to share my testimony every fast Sunday as a way of gaging my Spanish haha! I felt awesome, it was so special. The capilla was packed full of people we didn't recognize, WHAT A BLESSING! It was amazing!

After church yesterday we sat in the park to call people before a lesson and there was an old man sitting with his son and granddaughter. The lil granddaughter was sitting in a wheelchair and her foot was all wrapped up and casted. We sat close enough that we could hear her grandpa as he tried to teach her about Christ and that He is her Savior. We couldn't not butt-in and share a scripture too haha! So we walked over and shared Alma 7:11-12 with them. I testified to this little girl that not only did Christ come to save us from our sins, but also to understand our pain and that He knows exactly how to help her feel better. Her grandpa started teaching us after that. He taught about Christ and quoted some great verses from the Bible. He seemed genuinely excited to talk with people who love the scriptures too. He taught us. And he was so humble. At the end of our conversation he asked us to pray with them and we did. The Spirit was so strong. We gave them some folletos and invited them to church. I hope we see them again.

Just moments before we sat in that park a man on a motor cycle screamed at us from down the street that we were “of the devil” and that hurt my heart. He has no idea about this restored Gospel and that he can make covenants and get closer to God. He rode away quickly. Meeting that family in the park immediately after was exactly what I needed and I know that my Heavenly Father is so aware of me… and that family… and YOU!!!

This next week is going to be CRAZY and I'm so excited for it! My next email will be packed lol!

Also congrats to Holden and Dubranis who got married this week!!!! My family just keeps growing and I'm so grateful and excited to one day go home and be with them again! I'm sure Heavenly Father often feels that way. ;)

The Spirit taught me something PROFOUND this week during my personal study. I brought a printed copy of my Patriarchal Blessing with me to Peru, I decided this week was the week I was going to highlight it looking for different instructions, promises, blessings, etc. I picked a different color for each category. Good stuff.
I highlighted a sentence in yellow that I felt was some instructions from my Heavenly Father… but then looking back over the sentence I decided one part of it was really a promise so I went over the already highlighted part with a blue highlighter. Now what does yellow and blue make? Green! That's the color I was using to highlight TRUTH. That's exactly it. That's exactly how Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and prophets teach us. Instructions + Promises = Truth. As a missionary, I try to promise blessings to people every day… and they will receive those blessings if they follow the instructions from their Heavenly Father in the scriptures to come to church! Take the Sacrament! Get baptized! But those promises and instructions as 110% for me as well. Those are my Covenants. Instructions and Promises. Heavenly Father is so smart. He gives us the yellow and promises the blue so we can have the green. How loving is that? How gorgeous is that?

You are all so prayed for. I LOVE YOUR EMAILS thank you so much for everything. I said my prayers and thanked Him for all my people that help me feel so loved. And hope you all know how much I love you back!
