The most joyful days! May 29, 2026
Hey everyone! This is my last email in the United States! I fly out to Lima on THIS WEEK! I'm so beyond excited!
The title of my email is very very true, I have had some very joyful days at the MTC. But joyful days can have hard moments, but I think hard moments come up so God can remind me how close He is. Always.
I wasn't feeling the best after lunch on Wednesday so my comp and I went back to our residence to get some vitamins and advil for my headache... because we did that I was in the perfect spot on my way to class to hug some of my friends who had just arrived to the MTC! It was so perfect! God is the best author of the best moments.
Another miracle was that my retainer broke! That sounds kinda funny but my permanent retainer broke and so I had to find the dentist at the MTC who's was not only able to fix my permanent retainer but also my clear retainer that was hurting my mouth every day! Turns out my sweet companion was secretly praying for a way for my clear retainer to get fixed. God is a genius.
Hermana Searle and I line danced in an empty classroom to the lower lights hymns that I begged my brother to send me. That filled me with JOY! I WAS PUMPED! THAT WAS A RESET! I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THAT! God loves joy!
One of my favorite moments this week was at the General Authority Devotional. Elder Valenzuela and his wife came and bore their testimonies on the power of The Book of Mormon! She quoted 3 Ne 11:14-15 about Christ invitation for us to "Arise...Come and See...Feel...And Know" that He is the Christ. That invitation is for US! And I can't wait to help extend that invitation to the friends I will teach!
One more thing the Spirit reminded me of this week: "Don't put God in a box"
Don't put a limit on what He can do for you in your life. In fact, have faith and expect miracles everyday and you WILL SEE how much He shows up for you.
You are all so loved and prayed for. Thank you for all the emails! I really appreciate it even if I haven't found a lot of time to respond!
Love you all!
