The Son is always gonna shine! October 27, 2026

Buenos Días todos! Como estan?

Y'all are getting this today because I'm going to the temple! 

I woke up yesterday just grateful. I remember at the beginning of my mission just wishing like I felt clicked into this calling. Yesterday I was walking around my area with a bucket of joy in my heart and realized that this really is it. Took me 6 months really comprehend I'm a missionary but I'm totally a missionary. Even better, because of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ work ACTUALLY GETS DONE IN THIS AREA?!?! If it was up to just me that would be a different story, I'm thanking the Lord every day that its not up to me. 

Training is fun because everything difficult about the work that my sweet trainers made me learn because they love me I'm now making my sweet companion learn how to do! Contacting in the street is kinda hard to do at first... but the Spirit told me this week it was HER TURN to initiate contacts this week. She really felt like she didn't know what she was doing. After walking for a while we passed an Hermano sitting in his van with his windows rolled down. I told her "Hermana... he can't walk away from us" and we turned around and she started the contact and we found him! We didnt have a lot of contact with him for a couple days but last night he called us and told us he read a bit of the Book of Mormon and felt joy and peace and wants to learn more! 

Wherever you are reading this I want to say "HALLELUJAH" out loud. (If people give you a weird look then its your job to go teach them a little about Jesus now! Have fun being a missionary!) 

But after we found Alfonzo, she knew she could do it again. ( SHES A MACHINE ) She stopped a man walked past this giant catholic cathedral on this same street. He wasn't suuuupppeerrr interested but because we were talking to him a DIFFERENT hermano walked up to us and asked "Are y'all reading the word of God?!?!" (In Spanish) and joined us! The other hermano kinda slithered away from the conversation but then a DIFFERENT HERMANO came up to us AGAIN and said the same thing as the first one! "Are y'all reading the word of God?" 

We taught them about Christ's ministry in the Book of Mormon. Que poderoso!

On the way home my sweet comp was grinning ear to ear and said she felt so powerful. And SHE IS! When she talks the Spirit just TESTIFIES! 

I know Heavenly Father loves watching all us grow like that. On the road back to Him we also become more and more like Him... I know Heavenly Father was grinning ear to ear that night too. 

We saw a lot of miracles this past week at church and in our friends. Irvin is getting ready for his baptism and he is SO excited to worthy hold the Priesthood and bless his family. 

I've been thinking about the Atonement of Jesus Christ so much this past week. This infinite love and sacrifice of our Savior truly makes up for everything hurtful, sad, unfair, and hopeless. 

I absolutely love the Anti-Nephi-Lehis. I LOVE them. I said this last week and Ima say it again HEAVENLY FATHER SEES SO MUCH POTENTIAL IN THE DESTROYERS. Alma, Saul, a couple thousand Lamanites that buried their weapons of war. Heavenly Father LOVES IT! One of my favorite parts about this story is that those punk teenagers that used to destroy the church of God are the same missionaries that taught a whole kingdom of murders that one day a Savior WILL COME and because a Savior WILL COME you can be forgiven and welcome back into the arms of their Father in that final day. And they changed so much that they buried their weapons of war and a couple thousand of them died on their knees in battle instead of fighting. 

ARE WE JOKING?!?!? Their dying act of faith was enough to convert their killers to their knees for forgiveness too. 

And the Atonement of Jesus Christ is THAT BIG?!?! It covers ANY sin if we are willing to turn towards Christ. It covers any heartache we've suffered. Every terrible day will pass and the Son will shine again. 

Yesterday we were finishing our language study when my sweet companion got an email that her best friend from home passed away. 

I still have no words. Truly just so sad. 

My sweet companion has a mountain of faith to fall on. She knows everything is going to be okay because Jesus Christ Atoned for this exact reason. Hermana Molina will see her best friend again. And the hard, and the sad, and the tears of yesterday and all of the hard days ahead will be swallowed up in the joy of Eternity with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. AND her sweet friend.
