I hope you all had an amazing week! I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GREAT FAST SUNDAY!!!
Heaven is open. And we have a Loving Heavenly Father and He cares.
Truly pray because He is there. Speak because He really is listening.
My week was pretty fantastic with a lot of really, really hard moments as well... more often than not the miracles of our lives don't happen when everything goes according to plan, but how Heavenly Father carries you through the darkest and cloudiest days.
Our friend Irvin did not get baptized yesterday... but EVERYONE PRAY THAT WE CAN HELP HIM TO THE WATER SOME OTHER DAY THIS WEEK!!!! Our friend Luana didn't come to church so we need to move her baptismal date to the next week... but that's okay!
We had a new, big change in our mission. We've been instructed by our President to send all of our opposite sex friends and converts to the opposite sex missionaries that we ward share with. So we sent all the Hermanos' information to the Elders. We've been promised that we will see even more baptisms in our mission because of this change! And I am genuinely so excited to spend more time with the Hermanas! But sending our Converts to the Elders was really, really sad. But we will see them all on Sunday and THE ELDERS' CONVERTS ARE ALREADY SOME OF MY FAVORITE HUMANS EVER!!!! It's definitely a change but it's going to be good!
So this week wasn't easy, but it was also amazing to see all the tender mercies through all of the hard things!
We had ÉLDER ROMÁN of the 70 come teach us with his sweet wife for our Mission Tour!
One of my favorite things they said is that it is a Gift from God to love one another. We need to pray for and develop that attribute just like any of our other talents. Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers... ESPECIALLY that one. We can love as He loves.
My favorite part of that conference was the message from the Petersons. We simply read 3 Nephi 11 together. Content of the scriptures will help us but context of the scriptures will always change us.
Christ really does live. He really did visit the other sheep. The Book of Mormon is true. The people in those pages had a way harder week than I did. 3 days in darkness and destruction sounds like my worse nightmare. But then Christ came. He always comes. And He invites us to come to Him one by one and to gain a witness that He really is exactly who everyone said He is.
Those nail prints in His hands are for you.
The hole in His side is for that family member you are praying for. The holes in His feet are for the person that you need to forgive. He really lives. He really did Atone for us. He really did instruct us to make and keep sacred covenants to REMEMBER Him and this Spirit we feel as we think of Him.
Guess what else He said...
He said to get ur booty to church and take the sacrament!
Maybe He didn't say it like that.
But He really did give us the SACRAMENT so we can continually find peace each week at church so this is your invitation to church!
And this is your invitation to read SPECIFICALLY 3 Nephi 11 and to put yourself there. Whatever you need healing from I promise the Savior can help.
You are all so loved and prayed for.
